For my birthday in 2021, my friends and family gifted me a weekend away. My wife found me an amazing, remote cabin in central Virginia with a fireplace, no wifi, and a bunch of old Twilight Zone DVDs.

I took:
a synth, a tape recorder, a guitar, and a few mics

I left at home:
my computer

It was fun to challenge myself to see what I could come up with in this pared down, mobile studio from the past. I used only the 4 tracks allotted to me on the Tascam Portastudio 424 and layered up the sounds with the "bouncing" technique of yesteryear.

What emerged were 5 instrumentals ranging from pensive to hyper to sad and everywhere in between.
